Job Summary:
This role has location flexibility (Irving, TX in-office, or based remotely) and requires up to 40% travel.
Provide comprehensive regional support for private event sales to the Vice President of Events & Outing Sales. This role involves assisting in the development and execution of sales strategies, managing sales data, coordinating communications, and ensuring smooth operations across the department. The ideal candidate will facilitate effective collaboration between the Vice President, Regional Vice Presidents of Sales, sales team members, and other internal departments while also handling administrative tasks, market research, and competitive analysis to drive sales performance and achieve revenue goals.
Day-to-Day:
Administrative Support:
- Provide high-level administrative assistance to the Vice President of Event & Outing Sales.
- Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to company branding guidelines for documents, reports, and presentations supporting sales activities.
Sales Data Management:
- Maintain and update accurate data on private event sales, including prospect lists, lead tracking, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
- Conduct weekly reviews of data reports, analyze sales performance, identify trends, and present actionable insights to the Vice Presidents.
- Assist with tracking and analyzing secret shop protocols and help develop action plans for underperforming areas.
Sales Support:
- Develop and manage the training and onboarding plan for new ESDs.
- Assist Vice President in developing and implementing sales strategies and relevant marketing materials to meet and exceed private event sales budgets.
- Support the sales team by providing information, resolving inquiries, and ensuring smooth sales operations.
Communications and Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between the Vice President, sales team members, and other internal departments to facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and information flow.
- Attend leadership meetings, as requested, to stay up to date on corporate strategy, planning sessions, initiatives, and mandates.
- Assist in organizing and executing sales training programs and conferences.
- Define project objectives, establish timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure successful project execution.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and customer preferences to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and present findings to the Vice President.
- Develop recommendations based on research to improve sales strategies and market positioning.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably in the events or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of selling and executing events, marketing, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
