The Garde Manger is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of culinary services for our Members and Guests. This Employee Partner supports a la carte and private event food production. In addition, s/he maintains consistent food preparation and plate presentation. The Garde Manger also maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times of the day, helping to ensure the safety of fellow Employee Partners.
Compensation: $22 to $27 depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- In charge of cold food, like chilled soups, fruit, salads and some cold desserts
- Communicate with Chef(s) when special produce is needed.
- Assist fellow Employee Partners. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.
- Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs operation, it may be necessary that each Employee perform a multitude of different functions therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you.
- Adhere to all of the various company, club and department written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc.
- Be able to work at an efficient pace to keep up with business needs.
- Be able to follow instructions.
- Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas and assuring others are acting safely.
- Attendance at daily line-up and participating as requested.
- Wearing a clean and neat uniform that follows ClubCorp and your property uniform standards daily.
Job Qualifications:
- Previous food experience preferred
- Previous Country Club experience a plus
- Required long periods of time on your feet
