We are seeking a technically strong QA Engineering Lead to oversee quality assurance for our microservices-based payment platform. The role requires deep technical knowledge to drive automation, API testing, and quality practices while leading our QA team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA strategy across our microservices payment platform
- Create and maintain comprehensive test plans for features and releases
- Design test case organization and management strategy
- Establish acceptance criteria and testing standards
- Design and implement robust automated testing frameworks
- Establish API contract testing and integration testing practices
- Drive automation-first testing approaches where appropriate
- Implement performance and security testing strategies
- Create and maintain test environments and test data
- Lead and mentor the QA team in technical best practices
- Balance automated and manual testing efforts effectively
- Design test metrics and coverage reporting
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of QA experience, with 2 years leading QA for financial/payment systems
- Strong test planning and test case management experience
- Strong coding skills and automation framework development experience
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems testing
- Hands-on experience with API testing and contract testing
- Strong background in CI/CD integration for test automation
- Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of security testing principles for financial systems
- Proven track record of building scalable test automation solutions
