The Procurement Manager has overall responsibility for procuring long lead electrical and mechanical equipment for Clune’s critical facilities practice. This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing equipment, as well as ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications and budget. The procurement manager responsibilities also include vendor relationship management and the establishment, training and enforcement of internal and external procurement guidelines and practices.
Essential Functions:
• Provide current and accurate cost and schedule information to project teams for budget and schedule creation.
• Develop and implement standard and project specific procurement strategies that align with design, budget and schedule requirements.
• Track vendor operational performance.
• Negotiate rebates that align with Clune’s ethical and contractual requirements.
• Manage Clune’s equipment procurement and job specific equipment procurement processes.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new technologies.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, integration, service, or pricing.
• Ensure supplier compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Continuously seek opportunities for cost savings, schedule enhancements and overall process improvements.
• Develop training content and lead training classes on relevant content such as industry and company best practices and technical skills.
• Actively participate, both creatively and practically, in developing and delivering potential client presentations.
• Provide project teams with preconstruction and estimating assistance.

Education and Experience:
• 10 years of experience in equipment procurement, mechanical or electrical engineering, technical building or preconstruction and estimating.

• Solid background in engineering, project management, estimating, procurement or the construction trades.
• Proficiency with estimating software,
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
