Clune Risk Management interns learn the full overview of the roles and responsibilities of the corporate risk management department. They will gain experience coordinating with and issuing insurance information to project teams, owners as well as subcontractors. Interns will also demonstrate how to communicate with carriers, brokers and external counsel on a variety of insurance and risk management related matters.
Risk Management Interns will occasionally visit an active Clune project to see the ongoing site operations occurring. Interns will learn the ins-and-outs of various elements associated with how insurance plays a role in the business as a whole and specific to the construction process at the project level. Interns in the risk management department will coordinate with project teams, assist with compiling notes and documents related to contract reviews, participate in department calls and learn about the matters that the corporate risk management department in consistently engaged with among the seven regional offices.

Become familiar with the RFP insurance review process.
Learn about the licensing procurement process in the regions where Clune operates.
Understand the different types of insurance policies Clune possesses.
Participate with calls and ongoing projects with Clune’s insurance brokers.
Assist in compiling documents related to insurance claims.
Have exposure to the various software types that the risk management department oversees.
Visit Clune project sites to see the construction process in real time.
Organize and label project specific insurance documents.
Become familiar in various laws and regulations in the states we operate in that dictate the coverage terms our insurance policies afford.
Understand the various elements associated with Clune’s exhibits associated with subcontracts.
