Clutch is looking for an experienced Principal with a background in Data Science for a consultancy client of ours.
About the Role:
As a Principal, Data Science, you'll be more than just a leader – you'll be a key driver of change, guiding our clients on their journey to data-driven excellence. You will lead teams of data professionals, develop innovative analytical strategies, and ensure the successful delivery of insights that solve complex business challenges. This role demands a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, expertise in advanced analytics, and exceptional leadership and client management skills.
Job Responsibilities:
• Strategic Vision: Design and implement data science strategies and roadmaps for building advanced analytics capabilities tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Problem Solving Prowess: Tackle complex business problems head-on, leveraging both traditional and cutting-edge data sources and applying advanced analytics techniques.
• Trusted Advisor: Build deep, trusted partnerships with clients, providing thought leadership and strategic guidance on data-driven decision-making.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing team of data professionals.
• Global Collaboration: Work closely with global teams to drive sustainable growth within client accounts, maximizing our global delivery model.
• Business Development: Proactively identify business development opportunities within existing client accounts and drive new client acquisitions.
• Culture Champion: Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree from a top-tier university with a consistently outstanding academic record or Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant work experience; Advanced degree or MBA is highly preferred.
• 15 years of experience initiating, managing, and scaling engagements in a fast-paced environment across various industries or functions, with a demonstrated track record of successful leadership.
• Experience working with reputed consulting firms or large, Fortune 500 (or equivalent) organizations.
• Strong networking capability and a growth mindset focused on acquiring new customers and developing relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Proven experience in developing and nurturing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
• High level of comfort dealing with ambiguity and change; must be able to translate business gaps into analytics problems, define the analytical approach, deliver actionable insights, and operationalize recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships – with clients and internal teams, including in complex and sensitive environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, as necessary for the role.
