We are a successful and innovative home and office organizing company seeking an assistant to our lead organizer for on-location sessions at homes and offices throughout Orange County and nearby counties. We are looking for someone to grow with our company over the long-term, helping us make a profound difference in the organizing field.

Our work sessions are by appointment and are usually 4 to 6 hours at a time. This could be the perfect job for a capable and conscientious person who loves to help and loves working with interesting people in a supportive environment. It's ideal for someone who's retired or whose kids are in college, and can deal with a flexible work schedule. It's also ideal for someone working part-time with Instacart, DoorDash, Uber, Lyft, etc. - we can fill in the gaps.

You will be the primary assistant to the lead organizer. If you are interested, advancement to the position of lead organizer or an office administration position is available for the right person.

We support our clients on their organizing “journey.” Interestingly, there’s no need to have any organizing experience (we’ll train and mentor you to do that) but your patience, empathy, and absolute discretion must be thoroughly baked-in.

Both sociable and quiet people may apply, but you must work well with other people, be cooperative and teachable, and give and receive feedback in a way that makes people feel good and moves them forward. You must be capable of heavy lifting, frequent stair-climbing, and safe driving. Some households may have pets and lots of dust so this is not ideal if you have severe allergies. A good memory is ideal and some household management experience is helpful. Basic spelling skills are important and computer skills are welcome, but not necessary. A reliable vehicle and a safe driving record are necessary as you'll be transporting organizing supplies in to clients, and returning with items to be donated. We work throughout southern California and as we grow, can accommodate local travel preferences.

This “Organizing Assistant” position allows you to make a massive impact in people's lives, and is interesting because it's different every day, includes coordinating and problem-solving, and embraces apparent opposites…

  • We follow a simple, easy-to-learn, fixed system that you’ll be trained in, but it must be creatively applied at times.
  • There’s some drudge work, but also plenty of one-of-a-kind situations and a wide variety of interesting people.
  • You must be open to tolerating some dirt, but also understand safety and hygiene.
  • We help people get organized, but without pressuring, judging, or making them feel bad.
  • The work sessions are by appointment, so you will have a lot of latitude to choose your schedule, but rapid communication is a must, and once it’s booked, it has to be a solid commitment!
