Job Summary :
CLW is seeking a full-time Community Employment (CE) Job Developer to build a caseload and provide community employment services to people with developmental disabilities throughout Cuyahoga County, OH. The successful candidate will maintain a home office but will be required to travel regularly.
The CE Job Developer will collaborate with individuals with developmental disabilities to facilitate job placement by conducting assessments, engaging in job development activities, and ensuring suitable job placement where clients can thrive. This role involves establishing and nurturing relationships with employers, guiding job seekers through the employment process, and providing ongoing support.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Work, or related field or a combination of education and on-the-job experience
Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) preferred
Proven experience in employment services, job development, or related field
Strong understanding of developmental disabilities and their impact on employment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to conduct assessments and match individuals to appropriate job opportunities
Knowledge of local resources and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with individuals with developmental disabilities to assess their skills, interests, and job readiness
Perform job development activities by engaging with employers to create suitable job opportunities
Ensure proper job placements by matching clients with positions that align with their abilities and goals
Provide support in resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies
Maintain detailed records of assessments, job placements, and client progress
Stay informed about best practices in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in employment
