Clyde & Co seeks a Claims Data Analyst to support our insurance coverage practice group. Our hiring practice group represents international and domestic insurers in complex insurance coverage and insurance coverage litigation matters in a broad range of liability and first party policies, including energy and construction insurance, concert and event cancellation insurance, as well as disability insurance for athletes and high net worth individuals.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $90,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Key Responsibilities
- Create spreadsheets with formulas.
- Draft, update and maintain spreadsheets to track status of claims, policy information, self insured retention/deductible satisfaction, submissions and payments of invoices, exposure to primary and excess insurance, and policy erosion
- Implement and maintain claims- and spending-tracking spreadsheets from clients.
- Support attorneys with compiling and analyzing monthly reports, including new suits and incidents, new/increased reserves, cost-of-repair assessments, and erosion of limits.
- Support attorneys with drafting and preparing client reports.
- Support attorneys with performing assessments of potentially covered expenses.
- Excellent math skills and expertise using MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, and reporting
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Accounting background is preferred
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Proactive, self-starter
- Superior organizational skills
- Ability to keep their own calendar of projects and deadlines, and meeting agreed-upon deadlines
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work with multiple attorneys while managing conflicting time demands and focusing on task completion
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information
- Ability to gracefully work under pressure
