What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Documents Specialist position at Clyde Malone Community Center?
The Community Documents Specialist will provide administrative and archival support to the CLIR Grant PI working with the Community Advisory Team. This employee will play a key component in making sure the Malone’s day-to-day operations are met within grant requirements.

Essential Job Functions:
- Champion the Malone Center mission and vision in all engagements and interactions, both internal and external to the organization.
- Provide administrative support to the CLIR Grant PI’s.
- Revise material for digitization and assist with the grant redacting information.
- Create, enter, and maintain information in the Omeka S database and on the Malone website.
- Facilitate and coordinate community engagement activities and Community Advisory Team meetings.
- Review digitized items for completeness and technical errors. Edit documents upon request.
- Manage and organize digital files.
- Handle correspondence, answer phones, and perform other clerical duties, as needed.
- Attend all required job training sessionsin accordance with grant expectations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in history, library science, information systems, or related fields.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Prior experience with library archival work, community engagement, and event organizing, preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize different deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience serving clients from marginalized communities.
- Ability to pass a preemployment background check and fingerprinting.
- Valid Nebraska driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Professional appearance when representing the Malone Center.
- Complete Mandated Reporter training within first 60 days of employment.
