Summary of Position
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director, National Accounts will lead the development and execution of customer/trade specific sales strategies to grow sales and profit within a designated geographic region (West Region, prefer candidates living in the West Region)
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Achieve annual sales objectives for sales growth, profit enhancement and new product introduction.
- Research, identify, and evaluate new business opportunities with prospective and current customers.
- Create and implement account-specific business plans to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
- Lead sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations regarding price, programs and discounts to secure new business and expand existing partnerships.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with existing accounts. Monitor and analyze account performance, adjusting strategies to capitalize on opportunities and address challenges.
- Coordinate with internal operations to ensure flawless execution of customer orders, promotions, product launches, and to promptly resolve customer and consumer concerns and complaints.
- Stay informed about market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive activity to identify competitive threats and new business opportunities.
- Inform leadership on market dynamics, pricing strategies, and product development needs.
- Partner in S&OP process providing sales forecasts and other sales reports and analysis.
- Manage broker sales force.
- Comply with all food safety requirements including GMPs. Report food safety or quality issues to supervisor or Food Safety department.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- Candidate should live within the Western USA
- 5 years in senior sales role servicing significant accounts in grocery, convenience, and food service channels within the food industry.
- Proven track record of growing sales, introducing new products, gaining product placements, and negotiating price increases in multiple trade channels.
- Well-developed sales planning, forecasting and budgeting expertise.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret key sales, spending, and market trends data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, decision-making and negotiation skills.
- Computer literate including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be willing to travel approximately 50%.
- Preferred: broker management experience.
- Preferred: experience selling bakery products.

We Offer
Target compensation estimates are provided in good faith at the time of job posting. Job offers may vary based on the candidates education, certifications, job-related knowledge, skill, experience, geographic location, shift, and internal equity. Clydes may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
- Target base salary range: $150,000 to $167,000
- Target Bonus: 25%
