Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a pleasant start to their dining experience.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu offerings, wait times, and making reservations as needed.
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide helpful information regarding the restaurant’s services and menu items.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and waiting areas.
- Handle guest feedback with grace, striving to resolve any issues that may arise during their visit.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as TOAST POS, is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to work while maintaining composure under pressure.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
