POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees all Facilities capital projects, contractors and construction vendor agreements. Onsite supervision for new branch construction projects. Develops, analyzes and appraises scope, budgets, and building plans on all building projects. Provides analysis of construction contracts, vendors and budgets to ensure efficiencies are identified and maintained. Oversees all the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, roofing and structural contractors for Magnifi.
Schedule : Approximately 8am-5pm Monday-Friday but is subject to change based on business need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages new construction and renovation projects and contractors. Provides recommendations for General Contractors and subcontractors and provides feedback on the performance of architects, engineers and contractors. Estimates the work and / or reviews the estimates / bids and makes recommendations on vendor selection, materials, techniques etc. Reviews and makes recommendations on the competitive bidding processes to ensure the best product and cost. Completes performance reviews of contractors for accuracy and reasonableness prior to recommendation and submission to the VP of Facilities. Directs contracted projects to verify adherence to specifications.
- Analyzes current procurement practices and makes recommendations for improvement where feasible, regarding contractors, vendors, locations, buildings, leased locations and other purchasing practices to ensure proper use of resources and expenditures.
- Develops project requests, scope, and assists in managing the capital budget on all construction projects. Provides preliminary and ongoing budget analysis to the VP of Facilities.
- Effectively communicates and manages project expectations and success criteria to project sponsors, team members, vendors and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner throughout the project lifecycle. Acts as a liaison between management, departments, vendors, stakeholders and project teams to achieve goals.
- Coordinates with branches while contractors are onsite and oversees vendors that perform complex construction, maintenance and custodial duties impacting member service standards and delivery.
- During building construction, leads weekly progress meetings onsite. Ensures General contractors and sub-contractors working onsite are getting necessary information from architects to maintain schedule. Attends architectural, mechanical, civil, and structural engineering meetings to ensure project is adhering to budget and Magnifi standards. Performs risk assessments and evaluations when project deviates from scope.
- Upon project completion, provides digital drawings, specification books, testing documents, warranty information, and any other related project information into Box for future use. Performs training to maintenance staff and building walk throughs with Branch staff at completion of construction projects.
- Develops and reviews weekly reports on current and upcoming projects with VP of Facilities. Completes Project Execution Plans, Safety and Health Plans, Impact to Staff and Member Plan and updates to budget.
- Attends city submittal, pre-development, and city approval meetings to ensure proper permitting is secured for all projects. Directs Architect, General Contractor, and assists city to provide sufficient documentation for permitting.
- Aligns departmental initiatives with business direction. Assists the Facilities management efforts in an efficient manner to assure that Magnifi Financial meets its strategic goals and objectives while minimizing risk.
- Supports the development, implementation and monitoring of environmental strategies that promote sustainable development including but not limited to researching green energy initiatives and rebate opportunities.
- Manages multiple, concurrent departmental, organizational and strategic projects from beginning to end. Responsible for monitoring performance and progress against documented objectives, timelines, milestones and deliverables.
- Provides leadership to community relations efforts, serving as a key ambassador for Magnifi Financial, interacting with key members of the industry and communities served. Projects a positive image in the field of membership and with current and prospective members.
- Actively participates in community relations efforts to contribute to the mission and visibility of Magnifi Financial.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Six years progressively responsible facilities construction management experience and four years progressively responsible supervisory / management experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through a minimum of eight years related work experience and education.

PAY : $89,496.65 / year through $134,244.97 / year
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
Total compensation package varies based on position and may include bonuses, performance-based incentives, commission, and / or discretionary bonuses.
