What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accounting Manager position at CM Shredder?
The CM Shredders Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for preparing monthly reports on manufacturing, selling, general administration and profit and loss statements. Investigate cause of cost variances and variances to budgets. Assist in developing and maintaining annual and monthly budgets. Ensure that all reporting/filing is completed accurately and in a timely fashion. Manage all audit-based preparation and support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain all reports and reporting procedures including state and federal compliance.
- Review all costs including labor, material, burden, expense items, work in process, inventory and profit and loss.
- Maintain inventory cycle counting procedures, cycle count entry and periodic reporting.
- Maintain standard cost system, evaluation of current vs. standard cost for monthly reporting and annual standard roll process.
- Conduct and maintain all month-end closing journal entries and reports.
- Assist in developing CAPEX requests and ROI calculations. Review and track all CAPEX spending and periodic reporting on project status.
- Review, analyze and approve invoices and determine proper GL accounts to be charged.
- Prepare all credits and debits to vendors and customers.
- Any other additional duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four college or university
- CPA/CMA/CGA designation is an asset
- Proven leadership qualities in a Manufacturing company
Experience:
- 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specific skills and knowledge requirement:
- Strong oral and written communication, analytical, problem solving.
- Execution, attention to detail, initiative.
- Must be highly organized; able to prioritize and meet target dates in a very fast-paced environment.
- Result driven and accountable for actions.
- Ability to work independently while seeing others as essential team members.
- Strong organizational and systems implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in MS Office, EPICOR experience an asset.
