Summary/Objective
The Entry Level Engineer is an associate engineer position that involves shadowing of a designated Engineer while assisting with engineering work on both Construction based BAS and Security projects adhering to the respective project’s plans, addendums, specific job requirements and specifications.
Essential Functions

- Participate in Control Valve Schedule (Size and select)
- Participate in ATC Damper/Actuator Schedule (Size and select)
- Participate in selection of all required DDC components
- Assist with generation of a complete bill of materials
- Assist with generation a complete set of project specific ATC schematic control drawings
- Assist with ordering components after approved submission is obtained
- Assist the Security sales team in developing an accurate scope of work, creating a bill of material, estimating labor, and forecasting projected revenue
- Produce shop drawings and As-Builts
- Assist with creation of project documentation for floor plans identifying security component locations, cabling and installation detail, device hardware, project scope and all other activities related to security systems.
- Assist with developing specifications for all intrusion detection systems, physical access control systems, IP video surveillance systems, emergency call stations, and Paging / Intercom Systems.
- Use CAD and VISIO to create drawings for security systems, access control, IP video surveillance and communication systems.

The work area typically consists of office setting with some limited construction and renovation sites; may include dust, noise, metal shavings, and other elements associated with being at a commercial job site.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, kneel, and crouch. Computer work which requires frequent use of hands, good vision, and ability to manipulate keyboards, printers, scanners, and other office equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position.
Travel
This position is office based with occasional travel to job sites as needed.
Required Education and Experience
- Advanced degree with experience/knowledge of industries where CM3 competes
- Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical systems, access controls and engineering concepts
- Basic knowledge of types of controls applications, system networking and IT coordination
- Good customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with ACAD and Visio engineering software, preferred
- Familiarity with network configurations, 3rd party integrations, preferred
- Good knowledge of mechanical equipment sequencing, preferred
- Other duties as assigned
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
- Criminal Background Check, PA Child Welfare and FBI fingerprinting clearance required; other clearances as required by state/districts of job sites
- DMV check
- Pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing during employment
