Summary/Objective
The Security Operations Manager is a key role in our Security Division with responsibilities that include leading and overseeing the installation process while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction; balancing operational efficiencies with cost containment, meeting department and company budget goals. This management role oversees the performance, training and development of Security Operations team including Project Managers and Security Specialists.
Essential Functions

- Oversee and assist with planning, scheduling, and organizing all aspects of security related projects by working closely with Security Division Manager, Project Managers, Sales Team, Security Specialists and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with sales team, project management, sub-contractors, and other trade partners.
- Maintain and/or initiate a regular process of customer communication to ensure customer feedback and overall satisfaction on all installation projects.
- Provide excellent customer service through respectful communication, a caring attitude, and ensuring customer satisfaction and customer retention.
- Assist project managers with completing and managing documentation for projects including but not limited to submittals, RFI, schedule of values, drawings, and closeout documentation.
- Work closely with project managers and service dept. to ensure customer commitments are met on time and in an organized efficient manner.
- Ensure CM3 employees and sub-contractors adhere to CM3 Building Solutions safety standards and all local and national codes.
- Continuously review, analyze and recommend to security division management changes and enhancements to improve operating efficiencies and business expansion.
- Prepare for and attend meetings to discuss status, costs estimates, progress and profitability of all jobs.
- Review project scope of work, system designs, site configurations and installation schedules with project managers to ensure project goals will be achieved.
- Assist with coordination of all work of technicians and subcontractors with the client.
- Anticipates and identifies problems early and implements solutions that appear seamless to our customers, including negotiating and implementing appropriate change orders if required.
- Approves all project documents in a timely manner
- Generate AIA schedule of values for project progress payments.
- Communicate with the administration and accounting departments on project status, project completion, and amount to be invoiced based on AIA schedule of values.
- Review project materials and authorize purchase of materials while maintaining positive cash flow and maintaining project schedule.

Supervisory Responsibility
Manages/ leads the Security Division’s Operations team, Project Managers and Technicians (Security Specialists). Responsible for regular competency checks as well as provides/gives access to current trainings for all staff
Work Environment
This position operates in an office environment and may when necessary, include dust, noise, metal shavings, and other elements associated with being at a commercial job site.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, crouch, walk, read, count, type and write to accurately complete all documentation. This job may also require the use of electronic equipment, machines and hand tools necessary for access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion systems, and public address systems. May require climbing and standing on ladders as well as carrying boxes of equipment over 25 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position.
Travel
Office based position with travel to customer/prospect sites as needed
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or engineering discipline and/or equivalent combination of 5 or more years direct experience and education
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the electronic security industry with installation and maintenance of low voltage electronic systems including IP video surveillance systems, access control systems, intrusion systems and public address systems
- Budget/Forecast analysis -ability to accurately forecast monthly/quarterly/annual business results using appropriate financial tools and processes.
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills.
- Proven organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and duties effectively and efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
4 or more years supervisory/management experience including interviewing, employee performance and discipline, staff training and development and employee relations.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Individual must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
- Criminal Background Check, PA Child Welfare clearance and FBI fingerprinting clearance required
- DMV check
- Pre-employment drug screening
