Position Title : Senior Counsel
Reports To : Partner
Responsibilities :
- Act independently on matters involving complex issues, including (but not limited to) drafting of pleadings, motions, and legal briefs, presenting witnesses, and conducting cross examination, and managing litigation-related tasks such as development of discovery requests, production of discovery responses, and development of witness testimony;
- Independently drive all assignments forward;
- Consistently demonstrate ability to make recommendations and critical case decisions that are based on sound judgment, thorough legal and factual analysis, and a nuanced understanding of the clients needs and expectations;
- Regularly engage with and negotiate with other parties, such as litigants, complainants, business competitors, co-defendants;
- Must actively delegate work, provide timely feedback and actively train, educate and supervise associates and paralegals you are assigned to work with on a weekly, if not daily, basis;
- Must independently comply with all administrative billing requirements and consistently meet minimum annual hours obligation; and
- Must be working towards mastery in their field of expertise in the firm, litigation, compliance, etc.
- Must meet annual billable requirements and adhere to the Attorney Timekeeping Policy.
