Summary of Position :
The Equipment Operator plays a critical role in overseeing, operating, and maintaining the company's production equipment to ensure efficient and effective operations. This includes managing the pilot-scale coater, slitter, fork truck, and any additional equipment relevant to the industry. This hands-on professional will be responsible for executing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing equipment performance to meet production goals. Additionally, the Equipment Operator collaborates closely with quality, operations, and logistics teams to drive efficiency and align with company objectives. Adaptability, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety are key to succeeding in this role.
Essential Duties :
- Operate and maintain pilot-scale coaters, slitters, fork trucks, and other industry-specific machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
- Safely operate machinery according to established safety guidelines and protocols.
- Monitor and maintain facility resources, including equipment, tools, and materials.
- Perform periodic checks to ensure compliance with storage and handling standards.
- Clean and sanitize equipment in accordance with ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 standards to ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, operations, and logistics, to ensure seamless production workflows.
- Provide input on equipment upgrades or operational improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Assist with the setup and operation of new machinery or equipment as needed.
- Participate in safety training and enforce safety protocols during equipment operation.
- Drive a company vehicle as needed to support operational or logistical needs.
