Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Vision

• Drive the overall strategic direction of the company in collaboration with ownership and executive leadership.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, execution excellence, and accountability at all levels.
• Lead internal initiatives focused on operational efficiency, quality improvement, and long-term scalability.

Operations & Growth

• Oversee all functional areas including estimating, project delivery, finance, HR, and field operations.
• Guide the pursuit and execution of infrastructure projects across Texas, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
• Align operational strategies with backlog goals, market trends, and long-term growth objectives.

Financial & Risk Management

• Monitor company performance through financial reporting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
• Make strategic decisions around capital investment, project selection, and risk management.
• Optimize resources and maintain cost control across multiple divisions and projects.

Talent & Culture

• Build and maintain a high-performing leadership team through succession planning, mentorship, and recruitment.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-integrity environment that attracts and retains top industry talent.

External Relations

• Represent the company in industry associations, strategic partnerships, and key client relationships.
• Maintain strong relationships with public agencies, subcontractors, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10 years of progressive leadership experience in heavy civil construction.
• Proven track record of overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects and managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of project performance metrics.
• Ability to lead company-wide strategy, drive culture, and manage growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 15 years of industry experience with background in both estimating and operations.
• Experience navigating state DOT projects, public agency work, and water/wastewater markets.
• Familiarity with HCSS, P6, and field-centric project controls systems.
