Project Manager - Waste Water Construction | Dallas, TX

Role Summary:

In this position, you will manage all aspects of significant water and wastewater construction projects, prioritizing safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The Project Manager will take charge of project planning, coordination, and execution while ensuring adherence to industry standards and contractual obligations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project planning and initial mobilization.
  • Assist in developing the CPM baseline, along with monthly updates and narratives, incorporating any changes or delays.
  • Ensure accurate and timely purchasing from subcontractors.
  • Process submittals to meet project schedules and contractual specifications.
  • Expedite the delivery of materials from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Manage the RFI process, ensuring that all drawings are up to date and readily accessible.
  • Co-facilitate preconstruction meetings with the Project Superintendent and relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage in safety planning and performance initiatives as part of the SOS Program.
  • Oversee the Quality Control Program.
  • Review job cost reports weekly and monthly, providing detailed financial analysis.
  • Prepare and submit monthly draw requests that align with contract requirements and revenue projections.
  • Promptly process and approve monthly invoices for subcontractors and vendors.
  • Maintain strict oversight of subcontractors’ Schedule of Values and Supplier Forms to prevent premature payments.
  • Assist in managing change order processes for both prime and subcontractor agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations during project closure.
  • Implement project management systems as specified in the Operations and Procedures Manual.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
  • Regular worksite attendance is mandatory.


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.


Candidate Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as a Project Manager on projects exceeding $10 million.
  • Significant experience managing multiple Waste Water Treatment Plant projects is crucial.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools is required.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels.
  • A proven history of effectively resolving client and regulatory issues.
