What You'll Do
- Provide first-level technical support for end-users.
- Support software and hardware installations, configurations, and maintenance.
- Assist with upgrading workstations.
- Assist the IT team with day-to-day tasks.
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
- Gain knowledge about Steel Making processes through job shadowing and hands on activities Intern will spend time in each job role throughout the department
- Completes special projects as assigned by their manager, to include analysis and change continuous improvement recommendations as requested
- Participates in team meetings and activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Plan, coordinate, and communicate with peers and supervisors daily to ensure safe operations, preservation of company assets, environmental compliance, cost and energy consciousness, and to promote the values of the CMC people program
- High sense of confidentiality
- Able to work a flexible schedule to include 40 hour work weeks appropriate semesters
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment required
- Ability to learn quickly and multitask required
- Ability to pay close attention to detail required
- Strong quality and results orientation with a proactive approach
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Critical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and work effectively among a diverse group of people
- Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, lift, kneel, squat, crawl and reach
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Currently pursuing a degree in a related field at an accredited university
