What You'll Do
- Lead projects driving performance improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Drive problem-solving and root cause analysis for the department inefficiencies within different areas (rolling mill, finishing end, mill services and maintenance).
- Lead kaizen events and implement countermeasures ensuring operations performance are in line with the department goals.
- Drive a consistent continuous improvement culture throughout the rolling mill department, including training and coaching as appropriated.
- Develop documentation aiming process standardization.
- Develop operational dashboards and KPIs boards.
- Ensure adherence to CMC Principles, Culture, and Code of Conduct, company policies and procedures while acting with integrity at all times.
- Minimum of 5 years experience leading and driving manufacturing process improvements. Heavy industry experience a plus.
- Solid experience in manufacturing environment leading kaizen events, root cause analysis and process standardization.
- Must have well-developed communication skills with emotional maturity, a thorough understanding of the business process in a manufacturing environment, and have organizational skills.
- Proficiency in reporting and the use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), and AutoCAD. SAP experience a plus.
- Must have critical thinking and analytical skills, the ability to teach, train, and coach; time management; and the ability to influence without authority.
- Willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment, with occasional “after-hours”, on-call, and weekend work as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
