What You'll Do
- Manage various size and complexity projects from inception through to install and commissioning
- Develop budgets, schedules, procedures, and safety measures for projects
- Work with operations and maintenance teams to define design scope and requirements
- Report project status to operations and maintenance management
- Design and/or supervise detailed engineering of projects
- Communicate with suppliers and contractors to negotiate contracts / purchase orders, oversee permitting, manage construction, etc. as required
- Provide leadership in all matters relating to project and construction management
- Coordinate and account for any changes in scope of work
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each project
- Practical knowledge of mechanical , electrical , and common industrial applications and processes
- 3 years in a mechanical , electrical , project management or construction field preferred
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and diagrams
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Detail oriented, organized and self-starter
- Willing to learn; enjoys tackling new challenges
- Works well with team members or independently; gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner
- Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Proficient with AutoCAD or other CAD programs preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering college or university
