Job Description
1) Experience coding data science solutions using R programming language and/or Python.
2) Experience building statistical models, creating predictive/forecasting models, and understand algorithmic bias in stats & implications.
3) Experience shepherding a data science model from requirements gathering from business stakeholders, to coding, to releasing to production, to assessing performance, to refining/optimization.
4) Clearly express the details of a data science model to peers and support finding with simulations measuring the effectiveness the model and optimize for constraints.
5) Experience in a government, school district, or related setting is preferred
6) Support a Data Science Team in using collaboration software using Posit Workbench, Databricks, Hex, or similar 7) Train Data Science team on how to check in code and collaborate using GIT and provide training and knowledge transfer on statistical models and methods.
8) Explaining complex statistical models and concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical users who have minimal level knowledge of statistics.
9) Configure and troubleshoot Linux servers for hosting data science tools.
10) Document code, server settings, software settings, and workflows to facilitate lasting processes.
