What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Specialist position at CME Corp?
CME is currently seeking an energetic individual to join the Project Specialist team. This position is responsible for supporting CME’s Direct-to-Site (DTS) Operations by monitoring and providing real time status updates of ongoing equipment projects. This position will perform the day to day creation and management of our Project Tracker documents utilizing CME’s proprietary CME360 Project Management Hub software application.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for end to end Project Tracker cycle including the creation and maintenance of Project Trackers, organizing and obtaining vendor Purchase Order confirmations, status updates, and tracking information of inbound shipments from suppliers.
- Maintain frequent communication with Project Management and supply updated project tracker reports.
- Follow up with vendors on purchase orders, request invoices, confirm product deliveries
- Identify and triage issues and problems concerning orders, product discrepancies, damages, adjustments, or exchanges and facilitate corrective process while monitoring to completion
- Performs all duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Business, Project Management or related field.
- 3 years of purchasing experience working within a computerized business platform
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft suite of products (advanced experience in Excel and Outlook)
