Job Summary:
An Associate of Default Risk Management is involved in all aspects of default risk management, including managing a CME member's default, designing and conducting periodic default management drills, overseeing the technical development process for all default management tools, performing various key
quantitative risk analyses, and interacting with CME clearing firms and other stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible for quantitative aspects of the default management process.
- Oversee technical development lifecycle (from idea specification through implementation and
- execution) for default management tools such as the risk calculation engine, the Auction Platform, etc.
- Work with a development team responsible for both creation of and enhancements to various default management tools.
- Serve as a key liaison between the default management and quant teams.
- Design and conduct semi-annual DM drills for both Base and OTC IRS waterfalls.
- Actively participate in specific projects within the Clearing House related to any major initiative.
- Expected to make tactical decisions for the projects and work closely with various groups within and outside of the Clearing House.
- Design, prepare, and present various risk reports for senior management and CME's Risk Committees.
Qualifications:
- Skills: excellent quantitative skills are a must. Strong written and oral communication skills are preferred.
- Software Requirement: Python, C#, VBA, Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Reuters.
- Education: Master's Degree in Finance is preferred but not required.
- Experience: 2-5 years of relevant work experience required.
