What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Analyst, Investor Relations position at CME Group?
The Investor Relations Sr. Analyst is a key member of the Investor Relations department and will participate in all facets of the investor relations process. The Sr. Analyst will be expected to take initiative, work both independently and collaboratively, perform both qualitative and quantitative analysis, and identify key insights based on this analysis. He or she will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail. The Sr. Analyst must be poised and confident in working with a broad cross-section of the organization, including senior executives.

Principal Accountabilities
- Develop a strong understanding of the company, our strategy, and the exchange industry
- Support the quarterly earnings process, including data collection, presentation materials, earnings release, and Q&A preparation
- Review and analyze research reports, financial results and call transcripts of CME and peers to stay current on industry trends
- Assist in designing and creating material to communicate key themes to investors and potential investors, including the investor presentation
- Ensure up-to-date and accurate management of our CRM platform
- Assist with planning and logistics for investor targeting and outreach, collaborating closely with multiple internal and external parties, and support preparation of all marketing materials
- Track and analyze investor trading activity and help prepare material that communicates the key findings to senior management
- 2-4 years of professional experience in financial services of derivatives markets is preferred
- Interest in financial markets and a desire to learn more
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with numerous constituencies at all levels both inside and outside the organization
- Self-starter with the ability to work/collaborate effectively within a team
- Occasional travel may be required
