About CMFCAA
The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports, and advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families.
Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children, and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them.
Position Summary
The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for assisting the Quality Improvement Department in tracking, organizing, and helping assist in creating initiatives within the organization in relation to compliance. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and utilizing data analysis to drive performance enhancements. The Specialist will be part of a team of Quality Improvement Specialists and collaborate with various departments to achieve strategic quality objectives with the assistance of the Quality Improvement Supervisor and agency leadership.
Essential Functions/Job Expectations
Collect, analyze, and report on data related to program performance, compliance, and outcomes.
Lead and facilitate quality improvement (QI) projects to improve program effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Contribute to the creation and ongoing revision of policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure alignment with quality standards.
Monitor compliance with internal standards, regulations, and external requirements.
Serve as a liaison between departments to ensure consistent quality standards and practices across the organization.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting quality standards.
Provide training and guidance to staff on quality improvement tools, processes, and compliance requirements

Qualifications/Credentials
Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field.
Core understanding of programs within CMFCAA, or a willingness to learn quickly

Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to representing CMFCAA with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present data in a simple and straightforward way for non-technical audiences

The capacity to multitask and manage multiple projects and assignments, often with competing deadlines
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
