Position Purpose
Responsible for assembling raw materials/components into Finished Goods and packaging the finished product appropriately for shipment while being aware of product quality expectations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assemble fabricated parts at floor stations safely and within productivity standards.
· Review raw materials and finished goods for quality based on the standard operating procedures and communication by supervisor. Responsible for communicating quality or product issues to supervisor immediately.
· Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and rework as necessary.
· Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
· Verify product labeling matches job instructions.
· Work under immediate supervision.
· Package materials and products manually.
· Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
· Perform basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, strength testing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance.
· Fold and tape boxes, apply labels, and stack boxes on and off pallets and/or shelving.
· Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
· Ability to use fine motor skills to assemble products and package parts.
· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
· Must be able to visual inspect product for quality issues.
· Ability to use tools including scissors, pliers, tape gun, pallet jack and box cutters.
· May require standing for up to 10 hours per day.
· Ability to bend at the waist several times per day.
· Exposure to conditions, such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, and gases that could affect respiratory system, eyes, or the skin
