What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer/Project Manager position at CMG Environmental, Inc.?
The work schedule will be full-time five (5) days per week, averaging approximately 40-45 hours per week. We expect you to participate in proposal preparation efforts, including initial technical and regulatory strategies, budget preparation, and presentations.
You will assist Clients with a variety of land use application documents, plan sets, and drainage reports in addition to attending public meetings with City/Town staff to present project details.
CMG also specializes in the permitting and construction of code compliant petroleum storage and dispensing systems for filling stations, marinas, fleet fueling, power generators, and large commercial heating.
Primary responsibilities:
- Technical and administrative management of mid-sized to large scale projects
- Proposal preparation and development of new project opportunities
- Site/Civil engineering design tasks including project data evaluation, site & drainage design, report preparation
- Support preparation of Site / Civil engineering plans and specifications by CMG design team
- Oversight of Civil Engineering design/drafting on a wide range of complex and multi-component projects
- Meeting attendance with Clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to represent CMG design projects
- Construction Administration supervision of CMG design projects
- Civil Engineering Peer review for various Massachusetts municipalities
- Underground Storage Tank, Above Ground Storage Tank, and Petroleum Dispensing System design.
Qualification Requirements:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related degree
- Professional Engineering License in MA, with ability to obtain licensure in other New England States
- Licensed Soil Evaluator License, or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD - Civil 3D/Carlson
- Stormwater hydrology/hydraulics experience, Hydro CAD software a plus
- Must possess knowledge of town, state and federal land development and construction permitting requirements
- Basic understanding of land surveying techniques and standards
- Ability to work and coordinate with clients, town boards, subconsultants, and other team members
- Must be highly motivated and self-directed and possess good communication and people skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for field assignments
