Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will interact with clients during the delivery process. A strong understanding of route driving and the ability to handle heavy lifting is essential.

Duties

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any necessary documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Assist in the training of new drivers as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass drug test
• Experience in commercial driving or route driving preferred.
• Strong physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds).
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems effectively.
• Previous experience as a courier or in a similar delivery role is advantageous.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $130.00 - $180.00 per day
