Responsibilities Under the general supervision of Integrated Treatment & Recovery Services Coordinator, provides a supportive atmosphere for consumers in a 10 bed medically managed detoxification program. Duties will include assisting the medical staff with consumer vitals, medication management, food preparation, cleaning, welcoming consumers and daily consumer assistance. Must be able to problem solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers both individually and in group settings. Candidate is responsible for obtaining and sharing information with therapists and nurses within the unit. Requirements: Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required. One year of experience working with persons with substance use disorders required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Ability to work in electronic record software program; and have computer word-processing basic skills.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check, pass a Central Registry Screening and, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment physical.
