Responsibilities: Under the supervision of Families Forward (FF) Specialty Services Supervisor and in collaboration with Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled (CSDD) is responsible for supervising the program development and operations of a specialized unit providing mental health services to youth who are jointly served by FF and CSDD. Services provided to the youth may include: mental health service needs, needs related to an autism diagnosis and/or developmental disability, or those who may not meet full I/DD designation but would benefit from specialized services of both FF and CSDD. Supervises the multidisciplinary team who provides the mental health services who will be in partnership with clinicians providing vocational and case management support. Oversees case consultation and teaming meetings between programs. Responsibilities include planning, developing, administering and evaluating all phases of the program, supervising professional and support staff. Directs and participates in program activities and record keeping involving the screening, assessment and treatment of individuals. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university required. Possession of full license through State of Michigan required (e.g., LMSW, LPC).A minimum of 3 years of work with children and families is required. At least one (1) year work experience in a lead position or progressively more responsible position is required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history.
