Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Coordinator or Supervisor for the Adult Mental Health Services Department, serves as a professional performing a wide range of direct and indirect mental health services within a specific program or area of assignment to consumers with a chronic mental illness and possibly developmental disability and/or substance abuse issues. Recommends referrals to various programs, program components and other services in the community. May provide case management; facilitation of a variety of groups; outreach to consumers with multiple needs; and mental health services in a specialty mental health court program. Responsible for detailed case documentation. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related field required. A minimum of one year of professional experience with adults with primary diagnoses of a serious and persistent mental illness. On a case-by-case basis, may assess and consider an applicant with two years of paraprofessional work experience with adults with primary diagnoses of a serious and persistent mental illness. Must be able to operate a computer and have the ability to gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI’s computer systems. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $27.30 per hour. 40 hours per week, M-F 8am-5pm. Position goes until June 9, 2025.
Location: Adult Mental Health Services/Lansing, Michigan.
