Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Contract and Provider Network Manager, the Contract Assistant is responsible for maintaining, auditing, and monitoring contractor files for Agency’s provider network. Communicates with contract vendors for the purposes of requesting information, providing information, or obtaining clarification for contract-related items. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Possession of an Associate's Degree or two years of post-secondary education is required. A minimum of two years of progressively more responsible clerical experience required. A combination of education and directly related experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Proficiency in Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn CMHA-CEI database software required. Must be able to communicate accurately and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must have the ability to work accurately under specific time limits with numerous interruptions. Must have a pleasant speaking voice and an ability to handle difficult situations/people in a courteous and professional manner.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must pass a pre-employment 5-panel drug screen.
