Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Coordinator, serves as a Master's level professional clinician performing a wide range of direct and indirect services for adults with mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, along with a history of psychiatric hospitalizations. Services are primarily community based utilizing the ACT/IDDT model. Duties include therapy, case management, coordination of care regarding physical health, on-call rotation, pre-screen for hospitalization, referral recommendations to various services, consultation with service providers. Responsible for extensive case documentation. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is required or must be obtained within 60 days of application. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required or must have applied for and be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. One year of professional experience (professional or paraprofessional) working with persons with mental illness required or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience working with persons with mental illness required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate may be expected to work some weekend and evening hours. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of background verification, and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: Starting salary $58,843-$66,788 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $77,230. Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, On-call nights and weekends vary with 4-5 nights per month on-call. Back-up on-call 3-5 nights per month.
