Responsibilities: Exciting opportunity to join an integrated healthcare team serving refugees through the STAR Grant (Support for Trauma-Affected Refugees). This is a specialized Behavioral Health Consultant position working primarily with the refugee population in Lansing and surrounding areas; both individuals and families. In this role the clinician will be providing comprehensive assessment for referral to STAR program or other community resources, as well as providing direct clinical support to address a variety of clinical needs for program participants, especially in the areas of trauma treatment and recovery. Candidates for this position may have experience in evidence based trauma interventions, trauma informed care or other evidence-based practices, or be willing to be trained, and may also be bi/multi-lingual. As part of an integrated health care model, you will partner with healthcare providers, medical assistants, community health workers and others to improve the overall quality of life and health outcomes of patients served in the primary care setting. Responsibilities include care coordination and collaboration with community partners and care coordination within the community, crisis intervention, and thorough clinical documentation. Will act as a liaison between health centers and Community Mental Health. Professional development opportunities are offered. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program in such a manner that fulfills the specific Health Care Setting and CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures This position is located within Forest Community Health Center.
Requirements: Possession of a Master's degree in Social Work is required. Possession of a State of Michigan credential/licensure (LMSW, LLMSW or LPC specifically). Must be in the process and have full licensure within 2 years of hire. One year of professional experience specific to the provision of a brief model of outpatient therapy is required. Two years of independent clinical experience and the ability to practice independently, without on-site clinical supervision is required. Candidate will need to be credentialed with a variety of Medicaid Health Plans. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Candidate may be expected to work some evening hours. Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, educational background check, central registry clearance and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $58,843-$66,788 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $77,230 40 hours per week, some evening hours.
