What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist (Front Desk) position at CMI Healthcare Services?
- Greet patients & visitors upon arrival to the clinic.
- Receive and route incoming calls
- Update addresses and telephone numbers in Clinician Desktop.
- Verify client insurance eligibility in Navinet or TN Anytime.
- Collect copays and provide receipts.
- Distribute mail to appropriate staff.
- Performs a variety of clerical duties.
- Participate in all support staff meetings and in-service training.
- Provide coverage in case of support staff shortage.
- Coordinates with Support Coordinator when issues arise in the clinic.
- Act as liaison between the Providers and Consumers as needed.
- Maintain a pleasant attitude at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma/GED and knowledge of computer software
Experience: Must be able to type 45 wpm and some experience related to job duties, ten-key by touch, detailed, and multiple task-oriented. Experience in customer service and strong organizational skills.
