Lead Maintenance Technician
The lead technician is responsible for the effective maintenance of all production and facility equipment. Responsibilities include unplanned maintenance, preventative maintenance, tooling installation and removal, safety, and coordination between other departments. The lead will be the a subject matter expert and primary source for problem solving and helping facilitate best practices and outcome for other technicians and the company in regards to setup and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance:
- Responsible for typical repairs on production and facility equipment.
- Coordinate with outside contractors to assist repairs when needed.
- Regularly work with maintenance department to ensure PM schedules and repairs are satisfactory.
- Contribute in maintenance program suggestions and improvenents.
Tooling Installation and removal:
- Ensure all tooling is properly disassembled to be returned to the tool shop
- Responsible for following and developing install procedures/training for all tooling and components. Must be capable of developing written procedures to logically install tooling
- Provide continuous improvement for setup.
Manufacturing job process effectiveness:
- Responsible for setup first part accuracy and effectiveness.
- Accountable for part quality and speed.
- Accountable for tooling and die longevity.
Safety:
- Accountable for proper procedures being used for install/removing tooling.
- Accountable for proper guarding utilization on thermoforming equipment.
- Enforce safety rules regarding guarding and PPE, and conduct weekly audits.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in English with moderate to strong writing skills.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge and general industrial maintenance skills.
- Familiarity with schematics and maintenance management.
- Electrical experience including high and low voltage systems.
- Experience with PLC/Microcontrollers/Relays.
- Experience with CMMS.
- Knowledge of HVAC and Compressed Air systems.
- Strong analytical skills to perform effective and logical solutions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
