Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory techniques and a passion for scientific inquiry. This role involves conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses of various substances to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards. The Analytical Chemist will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to research and development projects while adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
Duties
- QC testing:
- Conduct raw material and finished product (Tablet, Capsules and other dosage forms) testing by using a range of analytical techniques, such as chromatography (HPLC, UPLC, GC), spectroscopy (UV-Vis, FT-IR), Dissolution apparatus and Particle size analyzer.
- Data Interpretation and Reporting:
- Ability to independently process and report analytical results.
- Interpret analytical results and prepare detailed reports, ensuring clear documentation of findings.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow methods, specifications, and protocols to ensure reproducibility and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with analytical instruments and techniques.
- Quality Control and Assurance
- Ensure products meet regulatory standards, in-house, and regulatory quality specifications.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or other industry standards.
- Instrument Maintenance and Calibration
- Ability to independently Operate analytical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Regulatory Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment in the laboratory.
- Ensure all work is compliant with relevant local, state, and international regulations, such as FDA, EMA.
- Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work with R&D, production, and regulatory teams to support product development, scale-up, and product release.
- Provide technical support and training to junior team members or other departments when necessary.
- Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or a related field.
- Experience: Proven hands-on experience in pharmaceutical analytical laboratory. Typically, 1-3. Experience with analytical instruments (HPLC/UPLC, GC, Dissolution apparatus, UV-Vis spectrometer, FT-IR) is highly preferred.
