JOB TITLE : Network Technician
DEPARTMENT : IP Video
REPORTS TO : Network Architect
FLSA STATUS : Hourly, Non-exempt
EFFECTIVE DATE : September 22, 2020
DESCRIPTION
The Network Technician assists with the development and implementation of computer network systems. They maintain and troubleshoot network systems and make repairs or adjustments as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess components of network, provide assistance when issues arise
- Troubleshoot network or server problems
- Install and configure computer network systems
- Upgrade components in existing networks, including new routers, switches, security software or other parts, to improve the operation of a system
- Perform routine network maintenance
- Create and develop project IP Schedules
- Assist with engineering department CAD drawing modifications
- Assist with engineering conduit coordination and design
- Assist with configuration Cradle Point and Time Machine
- Assist with Rack and Stack CCTV and Control systems
- Assist with CCTV Configuration (All Types -Bosch, Hanwha, other)
- Support local and external projects, traveling to various projects as assigned and as is reasonable
- Lift up to 30lbs
- Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.
- Operate tools and machinery as required
- May be required to work outside of normal business hours, as dictated by project needs
- Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
- Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
- Other duties as assigned
