The Opportunity
We are looking for Site Superintendents who will be responsible for the day-to-day work in the building and remodeling of residential homes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of work activities at the construction site
- Daily monitoring of the progress of the construction work and performance of trade partners.
- Coordination of scheduling and work activities of trade partners while monitoring contract compliance and company guidelines
- Communicate with project team and support trade partners to ensure they complete tasks efficiently and effective to the highest level of quality
- Maintaining and updating work schedule for each job on a regular basis and regular communication with the project team on status and changes
- Identify and resolve field related issues
- Be able to provide material takeoffs and building material knowledge
- Primary point of contact for trade partners
- Ensure trade partners and team members have tools, materials and safety equipment as needed on site
- Maintain daily log of trades, work performed, materials delivered
- Read, understand, and implement architect and engineer plans and revisions
- Ensure that any change in project plan is coordinated with team and executed by trade partners
- Ensure that the project is executed in compliance with local or state regulations
- Communicate with inspectors about compliance with building codes and schedule/attend on-site inspections
- Attend meetings and communicate with homeowners
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner
- Identify trade partner non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards
- Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
- 5 years field experience in construction
- Residential construction experience preferred
- Knowledge and ability to perform carpentry
- Knowledge of all trades, products and processes in residential home building on a custom level
- Combination of custom and production home building experience ideal
- Have a valid driver's license with ability to travel
- Ability to read and understand blueprints/plans and ensure the work being performed is in line with those blueprints/plans
- Strong leadership skills
- Be able to provide material takeoffs
- Strong communication skills with trade partners, team members and homeowners
- Excellent organization and planning skills to prioritize and balance work
- Comfortable using online based project management software
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, growing environment which means staying organized, take initiative and being willing to jump in and help wherever it's needed
