Job Summary:

As a Retail Sales Associate at BR Gun Supply, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service, assisting customers with their firearm and accessory needs, and ensuring a safe and welcoming shopping environment. You will be responsible for maintaining product knowledge, managing sales transactions, and adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to customers by understanding their needs, offering product recommendations, and answering questions about firearms, ammunition, and accessories.
• Sales: Assist customers with product selection, upsell related items, and complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and accessories, including features, specifications, and safety guidelines.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding firearms sales, including age restrictions and background checks.
• Inventory Management: Assist with stock management, including receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and organizing merchandise.
• Safety: Follow all safety protocols and store policies to ensure a secure environment for both customers and staff.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable, including conducting routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Training: Participate in ongoing training to stay current on product knowledge, sales techniques, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous retail experience is preferred, especially in a firearms or sporting goods store.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with firearms, ammunition, and related accessories is highly desirable. Certification or training related to firearms is a plus.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to handle transactions accurately and manage inventory with precision.
• Compliance: Understanding of legal requirements related to firearms sales and a commitment to adhering to all relevant regulations.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry merchandise up to [weight], stand for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks as required.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a background check and any required certifications or training.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
