Includes a shift differential of $2.00 per hour for 2nd shift work.
This is a working shift leader, someone who will learn various production departments while leading others.
CMMG Inc. is looking for a motivated Production Leader to join our team. This position is in charge of overseeing and coordinating production activities to ensure everything runs efficiently and smoothly from planning to completion. Responsibilities include understanding the projects' needs, setting goals and daily objectives, establishing timelines and guidelines, reviewing documents and plans, and resolving scheduling conflicts should any arise. This position is also responsible as a working lead, with assembling and disassembling components, sub-systems, and assemblies in multiple production areas.
The Production Leader is required to ensure that the product produced is being assembled to engineering prints and production aides. They maintain a clean and safe work environment while producing high quality finished goods. They perform frequent checks of quality and quantity, ensuring that there is no damage and making sure that they are labeled properly.

Production Leader Responsibilities:
- Aid in Parts Production, Uppers or Lowers by working as needed in the areas to assist production and order fulfillment.
- Coordination with Sales, Receiving, Shipping, Cerakote and QC for communication of timelines for products and orders.
- Manage projects from setup through to developing and implementing production procedures.
- Ensures the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between or within departments.
- Coordinates the production schedules within production.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met.
- Extensive knowledge of department processes.
- Ensures operations and employees follow proper policies and procedures.
- Review production orders for proper time keeping, material issue, and BOM accuracy.
- Plan, coordinate and control interdepartmental activity within quality assurance, manufacturing, procurement, engineering, production and logistics.
- Check products for defects and accuracy.
- Handle outgoing shipments by checking them physically.
- Ensure that serial numbers match the product that is being shipped.
- Report and replace any defective items to Department Head.
- Verify accuracy of orders by matching them with quantities and types.
- Ensure that items are properly assembled.
- Make sure that products are produced in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure that the working area is cleaned and maintained at all times
- Handle daily cycle counting of assigned areas
- Assemble small miscellaneous parts in bags, label with bar codes
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Production Leader Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure during tight deadlines.
- Detailed oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for eight hours and perform physical activities
- Ability to read, write, sort, check, count and verify numbers
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
- Work independently and within a team environment
- Establish and maintain working relationships with other employees and management.
- Knowledge and ability to use hardware and software (Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, internet and more)
- Satisfactorily complete the 90 day probationary period.
