Position Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing ( ADON ) for our Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) in Far Rockaway, New York. This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
Qualifications of the Assistant Director of Nursing ( ADON ):
Valid Registered Nurse ( RN ) license in the state of New York. Preferably with additional certifications in nursing leadership.
2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) with a focus on clinical care. particularly in leadership or clinical roles.
Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate nursing teams while maintaining a high standard of care.
In-depth understanding of state and federal regulations (CMS, NYSDOH, etc.) and quality standards.
Skilled in overseeing care plans, ensuring effective delivery of patient care, and managing clinical documentation.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing ( ADON ):
Proven ability to supervise and manage nursing staff, including mentoring and staff development.
Familiarity with CMS guidelines, state and federal regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, oversee care plans, and ensure accurate documentation.
Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families, and provide clear instructions.
