Position Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Director of Nursing ( DON ) for our Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) in Granville, New York. This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
Qualifications of the Director of Nursing ( DON ):
Valid Registered Nurse ( RN ) license in the state of New York.
2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) with a focus on clinical care.
Proven ability to supervise and manage nursing staff, including mentoring and staff development.
Familiarity with CMS guidelines, state and federal regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, oversee care plans, and ensure accurate documentation.
Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families, and provide clear instructions.
Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing ( DON ):
Manage all aspects of nursing care, ensuring high-quality, compassionate services for residents.
Ensure the facility complies with state, federal, and CMS regulations, maintaining licensing and certification.
Lead the development and execution of individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff, ensuring proper staffing levels and skill mix.
Track patient health outcomes, conduct audits, and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance care.
Oversee the nursing department budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and cost management.
