Position Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Biller for a Post-Acute Billing Agency in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a full-time, Hybrid position, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Qualifications of the Medical Biller:
2 years of experience with HMO billing background, preferably for a Long Term Care ( LTC ) facility.
Clear understanding of managed care and HMO reimbursement policies.
Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance billing processes.
Responsibilities of the Medical Biller:
Prepare and submit claims for HMO insurance plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing regulations.
Review and verify patient eligibility, authorizations, and coverage for HMO policies.
Follow up on outstanding claims to secure payments and resolve denials or discrepancies.
Communicate with nursing home staff and financial departments to facilitate claims processing.
