Position Description:
We are looking for an experienced Psychiatrist ( MD ) for our Substance Use Disorder Facility ( SUD ) in Los Angeles, California to assist with in person visits for adults struggling with mental health and addiction issues. This is a full time, in person position.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine degree ( MD ) and American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology ( ABPN ) certification
1 years of experience as a Psychiatrist ( MD ) treating patients with addiction.
Familiar with diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy)
Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications
In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
Responsibilities:
Assess patients through sessions and medical history reviews
Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history
Develop comprehensive treatment plans and prescribe medication as needed
Maintain complete and confidential medical records
