CMSP LLC is seeking an experienced Dimensional Inspector. The Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products and components meet specific dimensional specifications and quality standards. This is a DIRECT HIRE.
Key Duties: This role involves measuring and evaluating the physical dimensions of manufactured parts using various measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Fulltime Work schedule; 2nd Shift 2:30PM - 11:00PM
Must be:
- Experienced in AS9102 First Article Inspection
- Knowledge in ISO 9001-2015, AS9100D, ITAR
- Experienced using CMM (coordinate-measuring machine)
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and inspect the dimensions of parts and components to ensure they meet engineering specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, etc.) to gather accurate measurements.
- Review engineering drawings and blueprints to understand the required tolerances and specifications.
- Identify and document any deviations or non-conformities from the required dimensions.
- Perform routine checks on incoming raw materials and in-process items to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Record and maintain detailed inspection data, reports, and measurement logs.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to address and resolve dimensional issues.
- Conduct final inspections of completed products before shipment or further processing.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company-specific quality protocols.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Maintain inspection equipment and tools to ensure their accuracy and proper functioning.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in metrology or quality control is preferred.
- Previous experience as a dimensional inspector or in a quality control role is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of measurement techniques and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address dimensional issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.
- Strong communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with colleagues.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards such as ISO, ASME, or ASTM may be required.

Pay: $24.30 - $30.00 per hour
