POSITION TITLE: Electrical/ Instrumentation Subject Matter Expert
DUTIES: Provide Savannah River Misson Completion (SRMC) an Electrical & Instrumentation Subject Matter Expert (SME). This would include support for the maintenance organization and coordination for the following: Measuring & Test Equipment (MT&E), Installed Process Instrumentation, Radiological Monitoring Equipment, and Distributive Control Systems. (Note this is a list of examples and is not all inclusive)
- Provide mentoring for E&I mechanics and FLMs on Instrumentation Calibrations, DCS, M&TE & Radiological Instruments at management discretion.
- Ensures schedules are logically correct and has included the applicable Work Package approvals, Pre-Job Briefing(s), Lockout(s)/Tagout(s), LCOs, and Post Maintenance Tests (PMTs).
- Ensuring Task Readiness.
- Interfaces with Engineering, RCO, Operations and other support groups to ensure adequate support for field activities.
- Meet with the Work Window Coordinator/Operations/Engineering/Maintenance personnel to review, evaluate and resolve maintenance schedule impacts.
- Assist with performing Technical Safety Requirements (TSR) calibrations, which includes surveillance procedure reviews and implementation.
- The Subcontractor shall perform other duties as assigned.
- A daily worklog that includes activities and hours worked. The worklog shall be submitted to management at least weekly or more often if requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- 30 years’ of experience in Electrical/ Instrumentation Maintenance at (DWPF) Defense Waste Processing Facility
- Experience managing/supervising Nuclear Maintenance at DWPF
- Knowledge of DWPF Process; DWPF Measuring and Testing Equipment; DWPF Installed Process Instrumentation; DWPF Instrument Calibrations and Scaling Computations; DWPF Emerson DeltaV and Distributive Control Systems; DWPF; Radiation Monitoring Equipment; SRS Self Assessments; DWPF Nuclear Safety Orders/ Policies and Technical Safety Requirements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Skills:
- Working knowledge and experience of DOE Conduct of Operations principles.
- Clear understanding of Nuclear Safety Management, procedure and training development and implementation as it pertains to the operation of a Nuclear and/or Chemical processing facility.
- Ability to work as a member of a diverse multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience with Asset Suite and Microsoft Word is required.
- Experience with Measuring Testing Equipment is required.
- Experience with Radiation Monitoring Equipment is required.
- Experience with Distributive Control Systems is required.
- Experience with Technical Safety Requirements for calibrations and surveillances is required.
- Experience with Performing Self Assessments is required.
Work Hours: Some flexibility is available to potentially cover partial day and night shift mentoring. Typically a four-day, 40-hour work week is scheduled. The candidate will be expected to work Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Each workday has a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
